Alaska Upgrade to First Class can only be requested by the Elite Status level at the window of time for upgrades or prior to the date of booking. If you're on the First Class upgrade waitlist, and within the upgraded time period, the airline will search for the number of seats that are available in First Class. Alaska Airlines First Class upgrade request may process until one hour before your scheduled departure.

The Fare classes are cleared in the following order : Y, B, H K, M L V, S N, Q, O, G, and T. Server Fares cannot be qualified for First Class upgrades.
